The New Birth Community Church Foundation was formed in response to the vision of Pastor Cederick D. McMillan. He believed that a sound financial structure needed to be in place for sustaining the mission, ministry and operations of New Birth Community Church for years to come. Therefore, The New Birth Community Church Foundation is responsible for faithfully building and managing endowment funds.

Types of Endowment Funds

1. The General Endowment Fund is the primary recipient of unrestricted gifts. The Principal is invested in perpetuity and the distributions are used to fund all other categories except as designated.
2. Designated Endowment Fund provides a wonderful opportunity to give to a particular ministry within New Birth Community Church. The principal is invested in perpetuity while the income is distributed according to the donor’s request.
3. The Capital Facilities Fund uses the principal and income for maintenance, care, improvements and construction of the physical facilities beyond annual operational budgets of New Birth Community Church.
4. The Education Fund makes scholarships available for those attending Prichard Preparatory School (find out more here www.prichardprep.org), colleges, and universities.
5. The Economic Development and Grants Fund makes the principal and income available to special programs sponsored by other non-profit organizations and other economic development initiatives.
